Su graduación será el viernes 9 y sábado 10 de junio con la presentación de la suite “Paquita” a las 20:00 horas en el Teatro Ángela Peralta.

Criada en una comunidad de gitanos al ser asesinado su padre, Paquita, la protagonista  es en realidad una joven de sangre noble que despierta inquietudes amorosas en Lucien, descendiente de la realeza y en Iñigo, jefe de la tribu de gitanos.

En este ballet estrenado en 1846 en la Ópera de París,  Paquita evita que Lucien sea asesinado y en la parte final,  los protagonistas felizmente casados interpretan el famoso “Grand Pas” de las bodas de Paquita.

En el primer acto del espectáculo las graduadas interpretarán a unas gitanas entre el cuerpo de baile, también participarán en el Grand Pas y cada una tendrá su propia variación.

Martha Mariana Romero interpretará la variación española, Frida Carrillo la segunda variación y Carolina Osuna la variación de cupido.

Carolina Osuna comparte lo que siente al finalizar su formación como bailarina de ballet:

Es difícil de explicar porque creo que son muchas emociones al mismo tiempo, no sé si estoy triste, feliz o nerviosa; yo veía muy lejos este día y ahora estoy a pocos días de graduarme,  siento que es poco el tiempo que he estado aquí, que me gustaría que no terminara, expresa.

Con tan solo 16 años, Frida Carrillo siempre recordará su esfuerzo y crecimiento como persona, bailar ha sido todo un reto y si algo recuerda son los errores que cometió pues gracias a ellos  su técnica artística ha evolucionado y mejorado.

Con ojos brillosos por la emoción, Martha Mariana Romero de 18 años expresa agradecimiento hacia sus padres por estar a su lado durante este recorrido; a los maestros Zoila Fernández, Guillermo Carrillo y Sandra,  a todos quienes son parte de la EMBC y a las compañeras que han estado con ella desde el inicio de su formación como bailarina.

Romero siempre guardará en su memoria la oportunidad de representar a Mazatlán y a México en el reciente Encuentro Internacional de Academias realizado en La Habana, Cuba, donde dio lo mejor de sí y conquistó una beca para prepararse el próximo verano en la Sarasota Cuban Ballet School, ubicada en Florida, Estados Unidos.

Promesas de la danza en Mazatlán, las tres bailarinas comparten el deseo de seguir alimentando su pasión por el ballet  y de ser posible intercalar este sueño con los  estudios universitarios.

Tras este largo camino, las alumnas se despiden de sus maestros, de las clases diarias, presentaciones, de las amistades que han formado y de esa hermandad gestada con el tiempo en las aulas de la Escuela de Ballet donde diariamente  comparten la pasión por la danza clásica.

With “Paquita” they will graduate as Ballerinas

Excited ballet dancers, nostalgic and nervous students of the medium technical level, Martha Romero, Frida Carrillo and Carolina Osuna say goodbye to the School of Ballet of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan, after eight years of study.

Graduation is Friday, the 9th and Saturday, the 10^th of June, with the presentation of the suite "Paquita" at 8 pm in the Angela Peralta Theater.

Raised in a community of Gypsies after the murdered of her father, Paquita, the protagonist, is actually a young woman of noble blood, arousing the loving feelings of Lucien, a descendant of royalty and son of Iñigo, Chief of the tribe of Gypsies.

In this ballet, which premiered in 1846 at the Paris Opera, Paquita avoids the murder of Lucien and in the final part, the happily married actors interpret the famous "Grand Pas", the wedding of Paquita.

In the first act of the show the graduates will perform as Gypsies among the Corps de ballet, they also will participate in the Grand Pas, and each will have her own variation.

Martha Mariana Romero will perform the Spanish variation, Frida Carrillo second variation and Carolina Osuna Cupid variation.

Carolina Osuna shares what she feel at the end of her training as a dancer of ballet:
It is difficult to explain because I think there are many emotions at the same time, I don´t know if I´m sad, happy or nervous; I saw this day far away and now I am within days of graduating, I feel that it has been a short time that I´ve been here, I don’t want it to end, she expressed.

At only 16 years old, Frida Carrillo will always remember her effort and growth as a person, dance has been a challenge, and if there is anything she will remember it is the errors she committed because thanks to them, her artistic technique has evolved and improved.

With shiny eyes of emotion, Martha Mariana Romero, 18, expressed gratitude to her parents for being by her side during this time; to maestros Zoila Fernández, Guillermo Carrillo and Sandra, to all those who are part of the EMBC, and her colleagues who have been with her since the beginning of her training as a dancer.

Romero always has saved in her memory the opportunity to represent Mazatlan and Mexico in the recent International Meeting of Academies held in Havana, Cuba, where they gave she best and won a scholarship to prepare next summer at the Sarasota Cuban Ballet School, located in Florida, the United States.

With promises of dance in Mazatlan, the three dancers share the desire to continue feeding their passion for ballet and if possible to combine this dream with College.

After this long journey, the students say goodbye to their teachers, daily classes, presentations, the friendships that have been formed and the brotherhood developed over time in the classrooms of the School of Ballet, where they have shared a passion for classical dance.
