El organizador de la máxima fiesta porteña precisó que tradicionalmente las noches de Carnaval se realizan sobre la Av. Olas Altas, del Escudo de Sinaloa hasta el Paseo Claussen, a la altura de la Av. Zaragoza, pero en año, se recorrerán 400 metros hacia el norte.
La zona carnavalera estará ubicada entre el monumento al Venado y la Casa del Marino y habrá accesos por Olas Altas, la colonia Los Pinos y por la calle Zaragoza.
El funcionario comentó que este acuerdo se tomó para garantizar la conservación de las obras de remodelación en Olas Altas, con motivo de la próxima realización del Tianguis Turístico.
Respecto al desfile sobre el paseo costero, Raúl Rico expresó que las obras de remodelación en la Av. del Mar no impedirán el paso de los carros alegóricos, pues en reunión sostenida con el Secretario de Obras Públicas del Gobierno del Estado, Osbaldo López Angulo y con Joel García, director de obras públicas del Ayuntamiento de Mazatlán, se habló de un plan muy definido.
En esta reunión se garantizó que aunque el paseo costero no va a estar concluido “estará utilizable”.
Lo anterior para garantizar el paso de las carrozas reales y los carros alegóricos que participan en el tradicional desfile de Carnaval.
El domingo 11 de febrero el desfile comenzará a las 17:30 horas, a la altura del Monumento al Pescador y avanzará hacia el norte para concluir en la Av. Rafael Buelna; el martes 13 de febrero, los carros alegóricos saldrán a las 16:30 horas, de la Av. del Mar -a la altura del Acuario- y se dirigirán hacia el sur para concluir en la Av. Miguel Alemán.
