El espíritu navideño llega a la Machado
La noche de este viernes, la Navidad llegó a la Plazuela Machado con el encendido de las luces que adornarán este emblemático lugar durante las fiestas decembrinas.


La ceremonia de iluminación estuvo presidida por Raúl Rico González, Director General del Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán, institución responsable de la ambientación navideña.

Como invitados especiales asistieron los aspirantes a las coronas del Carnaval Internacional Mazatlán 2018: la candidata infantil Shuleyka; los tres candidatos a Rey de la Alegría: César Tulio Martínez, Fabián Ernesto Maldonado y Sergio Radamés “El profe” y las candidatas a Reina del Carnaval: Daniela López, Mayrim Morales, Alejandra del Rosario Tirado, Jéssica Margarita López, Ana Paola Beltrán,  Estefanía Nordahl y Brisia Carolina Tirado.

En su discurso previo a la activación, Raúl Rico reconoció el trabajo de Mónica Rice, coordinadora de la Escuela de Artes Plásticas del Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán y el equipo de Operaciones de Cultura,  dirigido por Paul Wong, pues fueron los responsables de adornar con luces, instalar el pino y decorar con faroles y coronas este centro recreativo.

 Alfredo Gómez Rubio, Presidente del Proyecto Centro Histórico activó el interruptor y de inmediato cambió el rostro de la Machado ante el asombro de cientos de personas que  admiraron como los árboles y las palmeras se iluminaron,  varias coronas “encendieron” el kiosco y  miles de luces  azules y amarillas bañaron el vistoso pino de Navidad.

The Christmas spirit arrives at Plaza Machado

On Friday night, Christmas came to Plaza Machado with the lighting of the lights that will decorate this emblematic place during the holiday season.

The lighting ceremony was presided over by Raúl Rico González, General Director of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán, the institution responsible for the Christmas setting.

As special guests attended the aspirants to the crowns of the International Carnaval Mazatlan 2018: the child candidate Shuleyka; the three candidates for Rey de la Alegría: César Tulio Martínez, Fabian Ernesto Maldonado and Sergio Radamés "El Profe" and the candidates for the Carnaval Queen: Daniela López, Mayrim Morales, Alejandra del Rosario Tirado, Jéssica Margarita López, Ana Paola Beltrán, Estefanía Nordahl and Brisia Carolina Tirado.

In his speech prior to the lighting, Raúl Rico recognized the work of Mónica Rice, coordinator of the School of Fine Arts of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan and the Cultura Operations team, directed by Paul Wong, as they were responsible for decorating with lights, instaling the tree and decorating this recreational area with lanterns and crowns.

Alfredo Gómez Rubio, President of the Centro Historico Project flipped the switch and immediately changed the face of Machado, to the amazement of hundreds of people who admired how the trees and palm trees lit up, several crowns "lit" the kiosk and thousands of
blue and yellow lights bathed the colorful Christmas tree.
