En este concierto inaugural el Mazatlán Jazz Fest Chilo 2018 se honrará la memoria del gran jazzista sinaloense Chilo Morán, al entregar el reconocimiento que lleva su nombre al músico Gilberto “El flaco” Valenzuela por sus notables aportes a la escena del jazz mazatleco.

Formado por el baterista mexicano Pablo Prieto, el saxofonista Federico Hülsz, el pianista Alejandro Mercado y el contrabajista Emiliano Coronel; el Pablo Prieto Quartet, profundizará en el espectáculo “Impressions of Dave Brubeck” en aquellas facetas musicales que van mucho más allá de los éxitos más comerciales que le dieron popularidad al compositor estadounidense.

Por otro lado, a las 12:00 horas de este mismo jueves, Pablo Prieto ofrecerá en Casa Haas una charla gratuita sobre Dave Brubeck, uno de los músicos más importantes del jazz y la música contemporánea.

La entrada a la charla sobre Dave Brubeck es gratuita y no requiere inscripción previa. Los boletos para  “Impressions of Dave Brubeck” tienen un costo de $100.00, $150.00 y $200.00 y pueden adquirirse en la taquilla del Teatro Ángela Peralta en horario de 9:00 a 15:00 y 17:00 a 19:00 horas. The Pablo Prieto Quartet at the inauguration of the Mazatlan Jazz Fest Chilo 2018

At 8:00 pm this Thursday, the Ángela Peralta Theater will shine with the performance of the Pablo Prieto Quartet and its show "Impressions of Dave Brubeck", an exuberant musical proposal that transits through standard jazz at the opening of the Mazatlan Jazz Fest Chilo 2018.

This, the inaugural concert the Mazatlan Jazz Fest Chilo 2018, will honor the memory of the great Sinaloan Jazz player Chilo Morán, by giving the recognition that bears his name to musician Gilberto "El Flaco" Valenzuela for his remarkable contributions to the Mazatlan Jazz scene.

Formed by Mexican drummer Pablo Prieto, saxophonist Federico Hülsz, pianist Alejandro Mercado and bass player Emiliano Coronel; the Pablo Prieto Quartet will go deeper in the show "Impressions of Dave Brubeck" in those musical facets that go far beyond the most commercial successes that gave popularity to the American composer.

Also, at 12:00 noon this Thursday, Pablo Prieto will offer a free talk about Dave Brubeck at Casa Haas, one of the most important musicians of Jazz and contemporary music.

The entrance to the talk about Dave Brubeck is free and does not require prior registration.
