Bajo la dirección del maestro Javier Arcadia, “Polkas y redovas” promete ser un nutrido espectáculo dancístico que combine los llamativos trajes folclóricos y la música más alegre de cada estado con la majestuosidad, armonía y vigor de estos bailes populares del norte de México.

De norte a sur y de este a oeste, ambos estilos dancísticos lucirán los trajes típicos y los sonidos más representativos de los estados de Nuevo León, Chihuahua, Durango, Tamaulipas, Baja California Norte, Guerrero y San Luis Potosí.

La riqueza de las diversas danzas de México son la principal fuente de inspiración del Ballet Folclórico del Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán, que entre sus objetivos está el de preservar y enaltecer valores y tradiciones nacionales.

La destacada compañía artística funciona desde sus orígenes bajo la dirección del maestro, bailarín y coreógrafo Javier Arcadia, actual coordinador del taller de Danza Folklórica del Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán.

The cultural richness of seven States of the Mexican Republic will be demonstrated proudly on Wednesday, September 13th in “Entre Polkas y Redovas” a dance show presented by the Ballet Folklorico of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan at the Ángela Peralta Theater at 8 pm.

Under the direction of maestro Javier Arcadia, "Polkas and Redovas" promises to be a nurtured dance show that combines the eye-catching folk costumes and the most cheerful music of each State with the majesty, harmony and vigor of these popular dances of northern Mexico.

From north to south and from east to west, the dance styles will showcase the typical costumes and the most representative sounds of the states of Nuevo León, Chihuahua, Durango, Tamaulipas, Baja California Norte, Guerrero and San Luis Potosi.

The richness of the diverse dances of Mexico are the main source of inspiration of the Ballet Folklorico of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan, which among its objectives is to preserve and exalt national values and traditions.

The outstanding artistic company works from its origins under the direction of the maestro, dancer and choreographer Javier Arcadia, current coordinator of the Workshop of Folkloric Dance of the Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlan.
