[…] Vamos a utilizar otras plataformas.

This Saturday the Naval Combat Fireworks

This Saturday February 10 at 11 pm, Paseo Claussen between the Monument to the Continuity of Life (the dolphins) and the Casa del Marino, will be the scene of the Naval Combat, an exciting challenge for Jorge Márquez with 25 years of experience in the creation of pyromusical shows.

To carry out this task, Maestro Márquez needed to reconsider different logistical details stand out, among which the new measurements of the beach from which the rockets will shoot  in rememberance of the valiant defense of the port of 1864 from the French troops.

"It´s an important modification because we change the whole scenario: where the people are and how they can perceive the show. We are going to use other platforms. Due to the new conditions of the beach we will be more at the bottom of the sea than before. "

This Saturday night during the expected Naval Combat the sky will light up with the explosion of 2 thousand 500 chrysanthemums of different colors and effects, 2 thousand sequential shots for mosaics of comets or bombs of visual or sound effects, 750 monotiros, 100 flares of lighting with strobe effects of various colors, 400 volcanoes that will erupt at 30 meters high with different sound effects and great color; 1 thousand 500 sequential shots of average height of colorful effects; 900 kites; 1 thousand 500 sequential shots and 200 bombs with titanium thunder sound effects.

The rockets will be fired at ground level and will explode at a height of between 50 to 250 meters, depending on the caliber that will oscillate between 2 and 8 inches.

If you don´t remember, Jorge Márquez was artistic director of the Naval Combat for the first time in 1994. Since then he has been the creative mind of other shows such as the Carnaval coronations, baseball games of the Mazatlan Venados and many other events in the port, Mexico and the world.

Programming a pyromusical show like this is something much more complex than simply trying to get "the rockets and the music to end at the same time", he jokes; it is an art in which the artist seeks to transmit his emotions through a perfect synchronization of the timming of the explosions with the musical turns that the track may have.

Since the creation of his company Lux Pirotecnia in 1993, Jorge Márquez has been recognized multiple times as when he won First Place in the HSBC International Celebration of Light competition in the City of Vancouver, Canada, one of the most important pyrotechnics contests in the world.

Despite having collaborated for more than two decades with CODETUR and Cultura Mazatlán in the organization of the Naval Combat, the artist feels in each edition a different responsibility, to surpassing himself, because he considers the patasaladas as one of the most  educated and demanding public of the country with full knowledge of what a pyromusical show is.
