Para abrir el concierto, Eimy Osuna citó a la escritora canadiense L.M Montgmomery quien definió “Kindred Spirits” como espíritus afines forjados a través de momentos de profunda unión entre seres humanos, el entorno, e incluso, con uno mismo.

Primero la perfección técnica, la elegancia armonía y la exaltación emotiva llegó con una serie de arias operísticas como “O mío babbino caro”, de Giacomo Puccini; “Tornami a dir che m´ami testo”, de Gaetano Donizetti; “Caro mío ben” de Giusseppe Verdi; “La princesa gitana” de Imre Kálmán Koppstein o “El país de las sonrisas” de Franz Lehár.  

En esta sección de temas en solitario y dúo destacaron la potencia vocal de Eimy Osuna, la fuerza interpretativa de Alba Cecilia Rivera, la elegancia de Eduardo Tapia, la expresividad de Mariela Angulo y el rigor de Sergio Freeman.

Después del intermedio “Kindred Spirits” viró hacia la zarzuela, género lleno de juegos, picardía e intensidad que permitió a los cantantes artistas porteños crear una atmósfera vibrante y colorida con piezas como “Qué te importa que no venga”, de José Serrano; “La habanera del Saboyano”, de Federico Moreno Torroba o “La primorosa”, de Gioachino Rossini en donde las facultades histriónicas de los cantantes se intensificaron.

Por último, los boleros cerraron el recital con un ambiente de calidez, sensualidad y nostalgia al ritmo de “Te quiero dijiste”, de María Grever, “Rosa marchita” e “Íntima”, de Tata Nacho, y “Contigo a la distancia”, que le dieron su toque mexicano a una tarde llena de belleza, energía y amistad que los artistas brindaron a su público.

They Fused their Passion for Singing in "Kindred Spirits"

With opera, zarzuela and bolero the similar aesthetic, emotional, and spiritual affinities of soprano Eimy Osuna and Alba Cecilia Rivera; Mariela Angulo mezzo-soprano, tenor Eduardo Tapia, and pianist Sergio Freeman came together this Thursday afternoon at the Casa Haas Museum in the recital "Kindred Spirits".

To open the concert, Eimy Osuna cited the Canadian writer LM Montgmomery who defined "Kindred Spirits" as kindred spirits forged through moments of deep union between human beings, the environment, and even, with themselves.

First technical perfection, harmony, elegance and emotional exaltation came with a series of operatic arias such as ´O Mio Babbino Caro´, by Giacomo Puccini; "Tornami a dir che m´ami testo", by Gaetano Donizetti; "Caro mío ben” by Giusseppe Verdi; "Die Csárdásfürstin" Imre Koppstein Kálmán or "Das Land des Lächelns" of Franz Lehár.

The section of solo and duo songs highlighted the vocal power of Eimy Osuna, the interpretive force of Alba Cecilia Rivera, the elegance of Eduardo Tapia, the expressiveness of Mariela Angulo and rigor of Sergio Freeman.

After the intermission "Kindred Spirits" turned to the zarzuela, a genre full of play and intensity that allowed the Mazatlecan singing artists to create a vibrant and colorful atmosphere with pieces such as “Qué te importa que no venga” by José Serrano; “La habanera del Saboyano”, by Federico Moreno Torroba, and “La primorosa”, by Gioachino Rossini, where histrionic faculties of the singers were intensified.
