Con una representación de corte moderno que contó con la dirección de escena del maestro Oswaldo Martín del Campo, el estremecedor triángulo amoroso de “Leonora” (Andrea Cortés); “El Conde de Luna” (Ricardo López) y “Manrico” (César Delgado), unió cielo e infierno en el escenario, con una historia compleja, llena de inesperados giros que exponen cómo el ser humano está sujeto a los caprichos del alma y del destino.
De lo sensual a lo trepidante, del éxtasis religioso al vértigo de la ira y la desesperación, la música de esta obra sedujo a los espectadores gracias a la precisión de los integrantes de la Camerata Mazatlán y los músicos invitados de la Orquesta Sinfónica Sinaloa de las Artes y al portento vocal de los integrantes del Coro Guillermo Sarabia y el Taller de Ópera de Sinaloa.
La presencia de la mezzosoprano Rosa Muñoz, como la demencial “Azucena”, (la gitana que jura venganza tras el asesinato de su madre en la hoguera) y el bajo José Lora como “Ferrando” se convirtieron en un gran acompañamiento para el gran trabajo vocal e interpretativo que Andrea Cortés, Ricardo López y César Delgado, ofrecieron durante toda la ópera finalizada con un truculento cuadro en donde la muerte, la pasión, la venganza y la fatalidad del destino se dan la mano.
“Leonora”, decide morir envenenada antes de terminar casada con el “Conde Luna” en un intento fallido de que éste le perdone la vida a su amado “Manrico”. Consumada la ejecución “Luna” se entera de que acaba de matar a su hermano.
El público soltó un estruendoso aplauso para festejar este brillante logro operístico con el primero de cuatro títulos que el Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán produce y presenta en el Festival Cultura Mazatlán 2017.
Este jueves por la noche “El Trovador” vuelve a presentarse en el Teatro Ángela Peralta a las 20:00 horas. En los personajes principales alternan Carolina Wong como Leonora; Paulo Polillo será Manrico; José Miguel Valenzuela será Ferrando y Marcela Robles interpretará a Azucena. The brutal beauty of "El Trovador" at the Teatro Ángela Peralta
The brutal beauty of "El Trovador" (Il Travatore), a dark opera by Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi, struck the heart of the Angela Peralta Theater with vengeance, despair and death marching on the souls of tormented characters under the musical direction of the maestro Enrique Patron De Rueda.
With a representation of modern court that had the stage direction of maestro Oswaldo Martín del Campo, the shocking love triangle of "Leonora" (Andrea Cortés); "El Conde De Luna" (Ricardo Lopez) and "Manrico" (César Delgado), united heaven and hell on stage, with a complex story, full of unexpected turns that expose how the human being is subject to the whims of the soul and of destiny.
From the sensual to the fast, from the religious ecstasy to the vertigo of anger and despair, the music of this work seduced the spectators thanks to the precision of the members of the Camerata Mazatlán and the invited musicians of the Symphony Orchestra Sinaloa of the Arts and the vocal portent of the members of the Choir Guillermo Sarabia and the Opera Workshop of Sinaloa.
The presence of mezzo-soprano Rosa Muñoz, as the insane "Azucena" (the gypsy who vows revenge after the murder of her mother at the stake) and the bass José Lora as "Ferrando" became a great accompaniment to the great vocal and interpretative work that Andrea Cortés, Ricardo Lopez and César Delgado, offered throughout the opera ending with a truculent painting where death, passion, revenge and destiny fatality go hand in hand.
"Leonora," decides to die poisoned before ending up married to "Count Luna" in a failed attempt to forgive the life of her beloved "Manrico." Upon finishing the execution, "Luna" finds out that she had just killed her brother.
The public issued a thunderous applause to celebrate this brilliant operatic achievement with the first of four operas that the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán produces and presents in the Mazatlan Culture Festival 2017.
This Thursday night "El Trovador" is performed again at the Ángela Peralta Theater at 8 pm. In the main character roles, Carolina Wong alternates as Leonora; Paulo Polillo will be Manrico; José Miguel Valenzuela will be Ferrando and Marcela Robles will play Azucena. Tickets are available at the box office $100, $150, $200, $250 and $300 pesos.
