Agua y fuego reinaron a lo largo de un impactante show que el Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán ofreció con el talento de los bailarines del Centro de Arte Danzario Villanova y el Centro de Iniciación Artística 008 que cautivaron al público con hermosas coreografías alusivas a la inconmensurable vida marina del Océano Pacífico: atmósferas azules, llenas del misterio que el mar encierra en su profundidad.

Así, medusas, arrecifes de coral y portentosa playas acompañaron al fantástico Pez Espada, emblema del Reinado Infantil, en un viaje lleno de magia y fantasía que contó con un invitado de lujo: el Circo Atayde, auténtico talento patasalada que volvió a la tierra que lo vio nacer para recibir un emotivo homenaje a través de  Celeste Atayde, heredera de esta gran tradición circense que subió al escenario en medio de un conmovedor aplauso.

Los payasos, equilibristas, contorsionistas, malabaristas de fuego y danzantes aéreos dieron vida al otro color de la noche: el incandescente naranja del fuego, con un feroz tigre hecho con cuerpos humanos y hazañas imposibles que sólo la azarosa y arriesgada vida del circo puede dar al cuerpo humano.

Para recordar que el Carnaval es una tradición ininterrumpida, la hermosa Bianca Pescador Rodríguez subió al escenario para recibir un homenaje por 25 años como Reina Infantil y posteriormente llegó el momento de que Mazatlán conociera a las más recientes integrantes de la historia de su máxima fiesta.

Shuleika, Princesa Real del Carnaval 2018, subió al escenario para acompañar a Camila I, Reina de la Poesía Infantil, quien recibió sus atributos reales de parte de la señora Leticia Velarde de Bouciéguez, Directora del Sistema DIF Municipal.

Y, una vez que la corte real infantil estuvo reunida, llegó el momento de recibir a la simpática Gretel I, quien fue coronada por la señora Rosy Fuentes de Ordaz, Presidenta del Sistema DIF del Estado de Sinaloa, y también por la señora Leticia de Bouciéguez.

El escenario se desbordó con serpentinas, pelotas gigantes que el público hizo rodar a lo largo y ancho del Teodoro Mariscal y luego llegó una tormenta de juegos artificiales para anunciarle a Mazatlán que la última corona de este Carnaval ya fue entregada.

Después de un breve intermedio, el escenario oscureció un instante para después estallar en un gran espectáculo de luces y anunciar la llegada de Alonso Villalpando, Jos Canela, Alan Navarro, Bryan Mouque y Freddy Leyva: CD9, la sensación musical del momento que con temas como “Modo avión”, “Error perfecto”, “A tu lado” o “Mi corazón” desataron la euforia del público juvenil e infantil para ponerle el broche de oro a la última coronación del Carnaval Internacional Mazatlán 2018: “Patasalada, El circo de los talentos.”

Sea, fire and CD9 crown SGM Gretel I

SGM Gretel I, Child Queen of Carnaval Internacional Mazatlan 2018, experienced the maximum moment of her reign on Monday with a splendid coronation held at the Teodoro Mariscal Stadium that featured the electrifying presentation of the group CD9.

Water and fire reigned throughout a shocking show that the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan offered with the talent of the dancers of the Villanova Danzario Art Center and the Artistic Initiation Center 008 that captivated the audience with beautiful choreographies alluding to the immeasurable marine life of the Pacific Ocean: blue depths, full of the mystery that the sea encloses in its depth.

Thus, jellyfish, coral reefs and portentous beaches accompanied the fantastic Swordfish, emblem of the Child´s Kingdom, in a trip full of magic and fantasy that had a special guest: the Atayde Circus, an authentic patasalada talent that returned to the land that it was born to receive an emotional tribute through Celeste Atayde, heiress of this great circus tradition that took the stage in the middle of a moving applause.

The clowns, tightrope walkers, contortionists, fire jugglers and aerial dancers gave life to the other color of the night: the incandescent orange of the fire, with a ferocious tiger made with human bodies and impossible feats that only the extreme and risky life of the circus can do with the human body.

To remember that Carnaval is an uninterrupted tradition, the beautiful Bianca Pescador Rodríguez took the stage to receive a tribute for 25 years as a Child Queen and later it was time for Mazatlan to meet the most recent members of the history of their maximum party.

Shuleika, the Royal Princess of Carnaval 2018, took the stage to accompany Camila I, Queen of Children´s Poetry, who received her crown from Mrs. Leticia Velarde de Bouciéguez, Director of the Municipal DIF System.

And, once the royal children´s court was assembled, it was time to receive sweet Gretel I, who was crowned by Mrs. Rosy Fuentes de Ordaz, President of the DIF System of the State of Sinaloa, and also by Mrs. Leticia de Bouciéguez.

The stage overflowed with streamers, giant beach balls that the audience rolled across the length and breadth of Teodoro Mariscal Stadium, and then a storm of artificial games arrived to announce to Mazatlan that the last crown of this Carnaval had been delivered.

After a brief intermission, the stage darkened for a moment and then exploded into a great light show and announced the arrival of Alonso Villalpando, Jos Canela, Alan Navarro, Bryan Mouque and Freddy Leyva: CD9, the musical sensation of the moment with themes like “Modo avión”, “Error perfecto”, “A tu lado” and “Mi corazón”, unleashed the euphoria of the young people and children´s audience to put the finishing touch to the last coronation of Carnaval Internacional Mazatlan 2018: "Patasalada, The Circus of the Talents".
