El cuento sinfónico presentado por el Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán llegó hasta la secundaria ubicada en la colonia Urías para dar un plus a la visita del Bibliobús.

El maestro González Parra dirige desde hace cinco años la Secundaria General 5 en donde alumnos y maestros, navegan contra corriente por estar edificada en una zona minada por la marginación y  propensa a reproducir  los brotes de la delincuencia.  

Por eso, al concluir el espectáculo protagonizado por alumnos de la Escuela de Ballet Clásico del Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán, no dudó en  enfatizar que eventos como “Pedro y el Lobo” - en donde la música y la danza clásica se combinan para narrar una historia y el público aprende a reconocer el sonido de cada instrumento-,  pueden cambiar la vida de muchos  jóvenes.

Este tipo de espectáculos ayudan a descubrir que existe algo más allá del pandillerismo tan común en el ambiente hostil y adverso en el que algunos  se desarrollan, comenta el maestro González Parra.

Por su reacción se nota que no habían asistido a un espectáculo de ballet, tampoco escuchan música clásica, pero por algo se empieza, ahora lo importante es generar las condiciones para que estos espectáculos  sucedan con más frecuencia, dice el director de la General 5.

Dirigidos por Zoila Fernández, los artistas dieron vida a la emocionante historia recreada a partir de la música de Serguie Prokofiev, recreada  bajo un frondoso árbol, de largos brazos tapizados por ramas verdes.

Una barda de piedra y otro árbol, pintados sobre madera, ubicaron la historia en el bosque donde vivía Pedro, intrépido niño que desobedece a su abuelo y con ayuda de sus amigos , “El gato” y “El pajarito”, logra atrapar al feroz lobo que acechaba el lugar y se había comido  a un “Pato”.

Los alumnos de primero, segundo y tercer grado de secundaria ocuparon las sillas colocadas sobre la tierra por el personal de Cultura;  otros se acomodaron en la banqueta de los salones de enfrente.   Otros más,  se pararon en medio del enorme patio y algunos optaron por sentarse en el piso de tierra,  mientras los maestros, observaron bajo la sombra de los árboles contiguos.

Al final todos contentos ante la osadía de Pedro que atrapó al lobo, aplaudieron con discreción mientras otros siguieron sentados, con la mirada clavada en el escenario.

Peter and the Wolf accompanies the Bibliobus on its journey

Happy, events like this, show our students that there is another world away from the adverse and hostile environment in which they live, said Juan Manuel González Parra, Director of the Secondary School General No. 5, minutes after taking pictures of the stars of "Peter and the Wolf".

A symphonic tale presented by the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan that reached the high school located in the colonia Uriah, adding a bonus to the visit of the Bibliobus.

Maestro Gonzalez Parra has been the director for five years at the Secondary School General No. 5, where pupils and teachers, sail against the current in an area undermined by marginalization and prone to outbreaks of crime.

For this reason, at the end of the show staged by students of the School of Classical Ballet of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán, they did not hesitate to emphasize that events such as "Peter and the Wolf" - where music and classical dance combine to tell a story and the public learns to recognize the sound of each instrument, can change the lives of many young people.

This kind of shows will help them discover that there is something beyond common gangs in the adverse and hostile environment in which some develop, says maestro Gonzalez Parra.

By their reaction you can tell that they had not attended a ballet before, nor had they listened to classical music, but begins somewhere, now the important thing is to create the conditions so that these shows happen more often, says the director of the General 5.

Directed by Zoila Fernández,the artists gave life to the exciting recreated history from the music of Serguie Prokofiev, recreated under a leafy tree, long arms upholstered by green branches.

Painted on wood, a stone fence and another tree placed the story in the forest where Peter lived, a fearless child who disobeys his grandfather and with help of his friends, "The cat" and "The bird", manages to catch a ferocious Wolf that stalked the place and had eaten a "Duck".

The students in first, second and third grades of high school occupied the chairs placed on the ground by the staff of Cultura; others sat on the sidewalk of the rooms opposite. Others stood in the middle of the huge patio and some opted to sit on the floor, while teachers, observed under the shade of adjacent trees.

In the end, everybody was happy with the boldness of Peter who caught the Wolf, some applauded discreetly while others stayed seated, eyes riveted on the stage.
