El Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán prepara este mágico espectáculo de ballet para dar la bienvenida a las fiestas decembrinas.  Como sucede  en víspera de la Navidad en los grandes escenarios del mundo, Mazatlán no será la excepción ya que el Teatro Ángela Peralta acogerá  tres presentaciones  de esta bella historia, el viernes 1 de diciembre a las 20:00 horas y el sábado 2, a las 18:00 y 20:30 horas.

La bailarina cubana Sandra Fernández y el bailarín Eduardo Ramos de la Ciudad de México,  hacen una invitación a niños, jóvenes y adultos para que asistan a una velada llena de magia y aventuras, como el viaje por el país de las nieves y la batalla entre los ratones y los soldados dirigidos por El Cascanueces.

Esta será la primera vez que ambos artistas participen en “El Cascanueces” como parte de la Compañía de Danza de Mazatlán aunque en esta espectacular puesta en escena dirigida por Zoila Fernández y Guillermo Carrillo, también participan los alumnos de la Escuela Municipal de Ballet Clásico, la Camerata Mazatlán bajo la dirección de Percival Álvarez y el Coro Infantil de Cultura que dirige Mariela Angulo.  

Al hablar sobre la importancia de la obra del ruso Piotr Ilich Chaikovski montada en los grandes teatros del mundo durante la época de Navidad,  Eduardo Ramos quien por primera vez bailará sobre la duela del Teatro Ángela Peralta  expresa:

“Yo creo que en todos los lugares que cuentan con una compañía se monta esta obra, es un repertorio clásico, en este caso, esta compañía hace un esfuerzo para que cada año se muestre algo mejor y nuevo”. 

Desde los tres años nació su amor por el ballet y ahora a sus veintidós, Sandra Fernández llega de La Habana, Cuba, para bailar por primera vez el personaje de Clara de este maravilloso cuento, feliz noticia que recibió durante las vacaciones de verano de  parte de la maestra Zoila Fernández.

“Es una gran responsabilidad porque ante todo tiene que quedar bien, estoy emocionada y feliz por  esta oportunidad. Como siempre en todas las navidades este ballet marca esa época tan bonita del año, además es un ballet con una bella historia que niños y adultos disfrutan”.

En este ballet ambos bailarines han vivido la transición de comenzar con papeles breves como ratón o soldado, poco a poco han avanzado hasta  alcanzar el nivel que tienen ahora, y participar en El Cascanueces resulta una experiencia enriquecedora para su carrera y para mejorar al momento de ejecutar danzas que requieren de un alto nivel técnico.

The traditional Christmas ballet "El Cascanueces" is approaching with first class dancers

To travel through the wonderful country of the snow and visit the kingdom of sweets that offers rich chocolates, tea, coffee, candy canes and marzipans, the dancers Sandra Fernández and Eduardo Ramos interpreters of the adorable Clarita and the fantastic Nutcracker in the ballet "The Nutcracker" invite you.

The Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan prepares this magical ballet show to welcome the holiday season. It happens on Christmas Eve on the great stages of the world, and Mazatlan will not be the exception since the Angela Peralta Theater will host three presentations of this beautiful story, on Friday, December 1 at 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday 2, at 6:00 and 8:30 p.m.

Cuban dancer Sandra Fernández and dancer Eduardo Ramos from Mexico City, invite children, youth and adults to attend an evening full of magic and adventures, such as the trip through the country of the snow and the battle between the mice and the soldiers led by the Nutcracker.

This will be the first time that both artists participate in "El Cascanueces" as part of the Mazatlan Dance Company, although in this spectacular staging directed by Zoila Fernández and Guillermo Carrillo, students from the Municipal School of Classical Ballet also participate, along with the Camerata Mazatlán under the direction of Percival Álvarez, and the Children´s Choir of Cultura directed by Mariela Angulo.

When talking about the importance of the work of Russian Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky which is performed in the great theaters of the world during the Christmas season, Eduardo Ramos who will dance for the first time on the floor of the Angela Peralta Theater expresses:

"I believe that in all the places that have a company this work is performed, it is a classic repertoire, in this case, this company makes an effort so that each year it shows something better and new."

From the age of three her love for ballet was born and now at twenty-two, Sandra Fernández arrives from Havana, Cuba, to dance Clara´s character of this wonderful story for the first time, happy news that she received during the summer vacation from maestra Zoila Fernández.

"It´s a big responsibility because first of all it has to look good, I´m excited and happy for this opportunity. As always at Christmas, this ballet marks that beautiful time of the year, it is also a ballet with a beautiful story that children and adults enjoy".

In this ballet both dancers have lived the transition from starting with brief roles as a mouse or soldier, little by little they have advanced to reach the level they have now, and participating in The Nutcracker is an enriching experience for their career and to improve at the moment of perform dances that require a high technical level.
