I was born in Medellin, Colombia, and raised in Colombia & Peru. Following thirty five years teaching French & Spanish at university & college levels; self taught, valuing a God given talent, I and am now pursuing my lifelong dream of being a professional impressionist visual artist,avid amateur photographer & art instructor.

Inspired by nature, the magical effects of sun and shadow, shimmering watery reflections, Mediterranean architecture, indigenous people & their customs, a world of colour I attempt to capture this beauty in my watercolors, oils, acrylics and photography.
With a minimum of brush strokes, freehand drawing, using complementary colors, a warm limited palette and my trade mark white china dinner plate palette I have created a tapestry of the pathways of my life. Through my
images. I invite the viewer to experience a personal response.

Jane has exhibited in France, Italy, Canada, USA and Mexico & garnered many awards for technique, composition, originality & the genre of impressionism
