Este grandioso espectáculo producido por el Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán, bajo la dirección general de Raúl Rico González, será presentado en el Teatro Ángela Peralta el jueves 23 y viernes 24 de noviembre.
Participan más cien artistas en escena, voces nacionales e internacionales y la Orquesta Sinfónica Sinaloa de las Artes en este montaje para celebrar el 25 aniversario de la reinauguración del máximo recinto cultural de los mazatlecos.
En entrevista el Director de Escena de “Carmen” externa su deseo de que la gente se quede enamorada de la ópera en general; que vean este arte como un arte total en donde las actuaciones, el baile, la escenografía, la iluminación, el poder de la música y la voz de los cantantes hacen que se vuelva una experiencia integral.
“Hay momentos en donde ya no sólo se escucha por los oídos. Parece que la música entrara por el corazón y se te saliera por los poros de la piel, se te salen las lágrimas y no sabes porqué… y es que así de poderosa es la experiencia de ver esta ópera en particular”, expresa.
La historia de la temperamental gitana “Carmen” ha evolucionado con el tiempo: el novelista Prosper Mérimée creó el relato de una oveja descarrilada, el demonio hecho mujer, que tentaba a los hombres buenos para llevarlos a la perdición; pero fue Georges Bizet quien logró revelar los aspectos más complejos de la condición humana con su ópera y con esto el compositor acentuó el poder de la trama.
“Desde una perspectiva mucho más moderna ‘Carmen’ se convierte en la heroína porque es una mujer dispuesta a ir a las últimas consecuencias con tal de vivir de una manera libre, de acuerdo a sus principios; y Don José es un tipo maniático que conforme está confrontando su doble moral, un choque entre sus deseos reprimidos y su educación, llega un momento en que empieza a rebasar todos los límites y se acaba convirtiendo en el asesino de la mujer que ama”, señaló el creativo.
Para Ragnar Conde “Carmen” es una obra sin desperdicio y muy ligada al concepto de comedia musical: su narrativa veloz y gran dinamismo hacen que en todo momento suceda algo (ya sea con los personajes principales o el mismo pueblo) y así el espectador comprende las razones y motivaciones de otro aspecto vital de esta ópera, sus personajes, son un espejo sublime de la condición humana.
“Mientras más de carne y hueso son los personajes más efectivo es el montaje y me refiero no sólo a los solistas, sino a todos los personajes que están involucrados. Son seres muy pasionales, seres de una capacidad de sobrevivencia enorme y que no están dispuestos a dar marcha atrás… no se amedrentan por las circunstancias y eso hace que se vuelvan seres muy poderosos: todos quisiéramos tener esa capacidad de luchar hasta la últimas consecuencias, pero la mayoría de los mortales no quedamos a medio camino, ellos no se detienen”, señaló el maestro Conde.

"Carmen", the ultimate expression of total art
In his 18 years of experience as a stage director specialized in opera, Ragnar Conde has sought to share with the most diverse audiences that it is "total art", and "Carmen", the greatest creation of Georges Bizet, is the Holy Grail of This concept.

More than one hundred artists on stage, national and international voices and the Sinaloa Symphonic Orchestra participate in this assembly to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the reopening of the best cultural site of the Mazatlecos.
In an interview, the Stage Director of "Carmen" expressed his desire for people to fall in love with opera in general; that they see this art as a total art where the performances, the dance, the scenery, the lighting, the power of the music and the voice of the singers make it a complete experience.
"There are times when it is not only heard with the ears. It seems that the music enters through the heart and comes out through the pores of your skin, you get teary and don’t know why ... and that is how powerful the experience of seeing this opera in particular is”, he says.
The story of the temperamental gypsy "Carmen" has evolved over time: the novelist Prosper Mérimée created the story of a derailed sheep, the devil made woman, who tempted good men to bring them to perdition; but it was Georges Bizet who managed to reveal the most complex aspects of the human condition with his opera and with this the composer accentuated the power of the plot.
"From a much more modern perspective ´Carmen´ becomes the heroine because she is a woman willing to go to the last consequences in order to live in a free way, according to her principles; and Don José is a maniac type who is confronting his double moral, a clash between his repressed desires and his education, there comes a time when he begins to go beyond all limits and ends up becoming the murderer of the woman he loves ", pointed out the artist.
For Ragnar Conde "Carmen" is a work without waste and is very linked to the concept of musical comedy: its fast narrative and great dynamism make sure that something is happening all the time (either with the main characters or town) and thus the viewer understands the reasons and motivations of another vital aspect of this opera, its characters, are a sublime mirror of the human condition.
"The more flesh and blood the characters are, the more effective the editing is and I mean not only the soloists, but all the characters that are involved. They are very passionate beings, beings of a huge capacity for survival and who are not willing to back down ... are not intimidated by the circumstances and that makes them very powerful beings: we all want to have that ability to fight to the ultimate consequence, but most mortals do not stay in the middle of road, they do not stop”, said Conde.
