“Se trata de una sátira dancística, una obra cargada de simbolismos y reflexiones”, compartió Víctor Ruiz, Co-Director de Delfos Danza Contemporánea, quien destacó que esta obra fue creada por un interés genuino de crear consciencia sobre todas aquellas acciones y actitudes que hacen ver al cuerpo como un producto desechable.

“Es una pieza que puedes amar, que puedes odiar”, afirma el maestro Ruiz sobre este trabajo que promete impactar al público con imágenes que hablan sobre drogas, abuso de alcohol y prácticas dañinas que buscan detener su ciclo natural del envejecimiento. 

“A la gente le gusta comer carne, pero no le gusta ver cómo es cuando matan a los animales. Es un poco esa analogía de lo que tú consumes, a nivel estético y cuál es el trasfondo de todo eso, ver qué estamos haciendo y cuál es tu participación en esta crisis que hay en el mundo”. 

Por último, el maestro Víctor Ruiz comenta que esta presentación junto con la ópera “Dido y Eneas” que se presentará el 8 y 9 de diciembre en el Teatro Ángela Peralta, son importantes porque forman parte de las celebraciones del 25 aniversario de Delfos Danza Contemporánea, compañía dancística que nació en la Ciudad de México y hace 25 años vino al puerto a materializar sus proyectos, ambiciones y sueños.

Delfos Danza brings “La Vanindad” to the Angela Peralta Theater

As part of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of Delfos Danza Contemporánea, the company will present La Vanidad this Saturday, November 11 at 8 pm at the Angela Peralta Theater, an intense piece that satirizes the dark side of a society surrounded by vices.

"It is a dance satire, a work full of symbolism and reflections", shared Víctor Ruiz, Co-Director of Delfos Danza Contemporánea, who stressed that this work was created by a genuine interest to create awareness about all those actions and attitudes that make the body look like a disposable product.

"It´s a piece that you can love, that you can hate," says Ruiz on this work that promises to impact the public with images that talk about drugs, alcohol abuse and harmful practices that seek to stop their natural cycle of aging.

"People like to eat meat, but they do not like to see what it is like when they kill animals. It is a bit that analogy of what you consume, aesthetically and what is the background of all that, see what we are doing and what your participation in this crisis is in the world. "

Finally, maestro Víctor Ruiz comments that this presentation together with the opera "Dido and Eneas" that will be presented on December 8 and 9 at the Angela Peralta Theater, are important because they are part of the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of Delfos Danza Contemporáne, a dance company that was born in Mexico City and 25 years ago came to the port to materialize their projects, ambitions and dreams.
