La cita será a las 18:00 y 20:00 horas en el Foro Experimental, ubicado en la entrada de la Escuela de Artes del Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán y el dinero recaudado por la venta de boletos será donado para apoyar a la población afectada por el sismo que hasta este  miércoles ha dejado 225 muertos en la capital, Estado de México, Puebla, Guerrero y Morelos.

 “Es medianoche… Variedades Nocturnas” es el resultado escénico de un intenso laboratorio de creación de máscaras corporales e investigación sonora y musical.

La concepción de la propuesta surge a partir de la apropiación de la voz de cantantes y personajes y, con ello, el reto de volverse otro, re-significar su presencia a través de darle un cuerpo vivo que nos cuenta el estar en el mundo de manera distinta y sorpresiva.

Es un espectáculo que utiliza recursos como la danza, el playback y la interpretación histriónica para evocar escenas que van de lo conmovedor a lo ridículo, y de lo grotesco a lo sublime.

En esta propuesta los personajes evocarán una galería de voces, gestos y situaciones que descubren el fascinante, ridículo, falso, banal y trágico mundo del espectáculo.

Durante “Es medianoche… Variedades Nocturnas”, serán homenajeados algunos artistas que se han convertido en mitos por su genio, exquisitez, extravagancia o excesos, entre los que destacan Billie Holiday,  Elvis Presley, Pita Amor, Paco Malgesto, Nina Simone o Barbra Streisand.

Delfos presents “Es medianoche… Variedades Nocturnas”" to benefit  those affected by the earthquake

To benefit those affected by the earthquake that struck some states and Mexico City, this Sunday, September 24, the company Delfos Danza Contemporánea will present "It´s Midnight ... Night Varieties", in two functions.

The events will be held at 6 pm and 8:00 pm at the Experimental Forum, located at the entrance of the School of Arts of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan, and the money raised for the sale of tickets will be donated to support the population affected by the earthquake that has left 225 dead in the capital, Estado de México, Puebla, Guerrero and Morelos.

 "It´s Midnight ... Night Varieties" is the stage result of an intense laboratory for creating body masks and sound and musical research.

The conception of the proposal arises from the appropriation of the voice of singers and characters and, with it, the challenge of becoming someone else, to re-signify their presence by giving them a living body that tells us how to be in the world in a different and surprising way.

It is a show that uses resources such as dance, playback and the histrionic interpretation to evoke scenes ranging from the moving to the ridiculous, and from the grotesque to the sublime.

In this proposal the characters will evoke a gallery of voices, gestures and situations that discover the fascinating, ridiculous, false, banal and tragic world of the show.

During "It´s Midnight ... Night Varieties", some artists who have become myths for their genius, exquisiteness, extravagance or excesses will be honored, among them Billie Holiday, Elvis Presley, Pita Amor, Paco Malgesto, Nina Simone and Barbra Streisand .
