Orgulloso, feliz por los primeros 25 años del Coro, el maestro Antonio González desbordó su pasión por la música a través del repertorio que eligió para la noche del sábado cuando el Teatro Ángela Peralta lo recibió con honores.  

En la celebración estuvo acompañado por figuras que surgieron del coro y ahora son parte de su  historia de éxito, como el barítono mazatleco José Adán Pérez,  quien ha logrado conquistar los grandes escenarios de la ópera internacional y la soprano veracruzana Diana Jiménez, que desde siempre creyó y brindó su apoyo para que este  proyecto musical fundamental para el desarrollo cultural de Mazatlán pudiera echar raíces en el puerto.

Durante el concierto de aniversario más de 100 voces estuvieron acompañadas por la Camerata Mazatlán bajo la batuta de Percival Álvarez y el Coro Enkelit de Tepic, Nayarit.  Memorables fueron las intervenciones al piano de Antonio González y Sergio Castellanos.

La  fastuosa ceremonia musical inició con “Fantasía Coral” una colosal pieza que dejó ver el virtuosismo de Ludwig Van Beethoven en la voz de 19 coristas y el piano de Sergio Castellanos.

Respetuoso ante la llegada de su maestro, el pianista cedió su lugar a Antonio González para que asumiera las riendas de un intenso programa sacro que bombardeó al público con imágenes poéticas que hacían alusión al día del juicio final, el perdón ante Dios, la redención y  el descanso eterno en las piezas “Magnificat” de Franz Liszt, “Dies Irae” y “Paradisi Gloria” de Karl Jenkins y “Requiem” de Giuseppe Verdi.

El subtitulaje de Ana Iracheta ayudó al  público a disfrutar el contenido literario de cada obra.

Después del intermedio, el Coro Ángela Peralta abordó algunas de las arias más entrañables de  la ópera de todos los tiempos,  interpretadas por el coro y solistas que iniciaron su preparación en esta agrupación  y luego  lograron  brillar con luz propia en el panorama operístico  nacional y mundial.  

Notablemente feliz por regresar al puerto, Diana Jiménez, inició este recorrido musical interpretando Vissi d’ arte de la ópera “Tosca” de Puccini, donde la protagonista teme por la vida de su amado; después la noche dio la bienvenida a una faena musical con “La Traviata” de Verdi.  El tenor Alfredo Torres interpretó  Di madride nooi siam mattadori y después  junto a la soprano Celia Gómez cantaron  Libiamo ne ‘lieti calici en la que los personajes “Violetta Valery” y “Alfredo Germont” se embriagan de pasión y vino.

Noel Osuna se ganó las palmas al interpretar  la hilarante  Uditte, uditte  en la que interpreta a un charlatán que intenta vender una milagrosa bebida para curar todos los males, una de las piezas más divertidas de la ópera  bufa  “Elixir de amor” de Donizetti.

De esta forma las arias más impactantes de  12 óperas fueron interpretadas en alrededor de 90 minutos que cobijaron también la actuación de Celia Gómez en la interpretación de “Casta diva”, la desgarradora intervención de Cesia Olivares, con una de las arias más brillantes de “Suor Angelica” de Puccini, en donde la protagonista deja ver el dolor de una madre al enterarse de que su hijo ha muerto y, la frustración de un espíritu que busca un amor fiel en Senta’s  Ballade de “El holandés errante” de Puccini,  interpretada por  Gabriela Vadillo.

Sin duda uno de los momentos más brillantes fue la poderosa actuación del barítono José Adán Pérez que cimbró al público con su interpretación de Cartigiani de la obra “Rigoletto” del compositor italiano Giuseppe Verdi.

Tras recorrer distintas épocas en las voces del Coro y solistas como Cesia Olivares, Juan Fernando Martínez, José Eliodoro Lara, Manuel Salas y Joaquín Sillero, la Gala XXV años Coro Ángela Peralta culminó con los aplausos del público y la proyección de un video  homenaje a su trayectoria.

La velada no pudo terminar de mejor forma: un público entregado a los artistas después de un estremecedor cierre con  O fortuna y otras arias de  “Carmina Burana” del alemán Carl Orff que provocaron un carrusel de emociones en los espectadores. 

RECONOCIMIENTO

Al término del concierto el Director General del Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán, Raúl Rico González subió al escenario para entregar un reconocimiento al Coro Ángela Peralta y a su director por 25 años de brillante trayectoria artística.

Destacó la presencia en la sala de personalidades  importantes en la historia de esta institución musical como Jane Abreu,  Ricardo Jorge Urquijo Beltran, Eduardo Mata y Enrique Patrón De Rueda. 

Luego la Directora Artística de Cultura, Abril Márquez, entregó el reconocimiento al Coro; lo recibió Mary Murillo; la distinción reconoce el trabajo desarrollado por el Coro Ángela Peralta  para engrandecer los escenarios mazatlecos y  detonar el resurgimiento de la vida artística de Mazatlán en el siglo 21.

En un momento entrañable, los hijos y nietos del maestro González subieron al escenario para acompañarlo.  Sorprendido el maestro Antonio recibió abrazos de su familia y un reconocimiento especial.

El Director de Cultura Mazatlán, Raúl Rico González destacó la meritoria labor del homenajeado en la formación de artistas durante los últimos cinco lustros.

“Nuestro cariño y gratitud por su obra que cautivará muchas generaciones”,  destacó.

En su discurso, el maestro González agradeció a Dios, al municipio de Mazatlán y a sus instituciones, colegas maestros y alumnos que han engrandecido la labor del Coro dentro y fuera del puerto; así como la colaboración del pianista Sergio Castellanos y el Coro Enkelit de Tepic, dirigido por Miguel Franco. 

Al borde de las lágrimas, el maestro González se despidió agradeciendo la confianza y el apoyo brindado por Diana Jiménez en los primeros años del coro y al dirigirse a Jane Abreu, le dijo "Nos falta hacer un poquito más, pero lo vamos a lograr".

The Angela Peralta Choir celebrates its first quarter of a century

Surrounded by the public that has followed its 25 years of experience, the Angela Peralta Choir and its founder and director Antonio González, celebrated the silver anniversary of the group with a concert that brought together the most brilliant classical music of all time.

Proud, happy for the first 25 years of the Choir, maestro Antonio González overflowing with his passion for music through the repertoire he chose for Saturday night when the Angela Peralta Theater received him with honors.

He was accompanied In the celebration by figures that emerged from the choir and now are part of his success story, such as Mazatlecan baritone Jose Adán Pérez, who has managed to conquer the great stages of international opera, and soprano Diana Jiménez from Vera Cruz, who has always believed and offered her support so that this fundamental musical project for the cultural development of Mazatlan could take root in the port.

During the anniversary concert more than 100 voices were accompanied by the Camerata Mazatlán under the baton of Percival Álvarez and the Enkelit Choir of Tepic, Nayarit. The piano interventions by Antonio González and Sergio Castellanos were memorable.

The lavish musical ceremony began with "Fantasía Coral" a colossal piece that showed the virtuosity of Ludwig Van Beethoven in the voice of 19 choristers and the piano of Sergio Castellanos.

Respectful of the arrival of his maestro, the pianist gave his place to Antonio González to take over the reins of an intense sacred program that bombarded the public with poetic images that alluded to the day of final judgment, forgiveness before God, redemption and eternal rest in the pieces "Magnificat" by Franz Liszt, "Dies Irae" and "Paradisi Gloria" by Karl Jenkins and "Requiem" by Giuseppe Verdi.

The subtitles of Ana Iracheta helped the audience to enjoy the literary content of each work.

After the intermission, the Angela Peralta Choir tackled some of the most beloved arias of opera of all time, interpreted by the choir and soloists who began their preparation in this group and then managed to shine with their own light in the national and world operatic panorama.

Remarkably happy to return to the port, Diana Jiménez, who began this musical trip singing Vissi d´art from the opera "Tosca" by Puccini, where the protagonist fears for the life of her beloved; later, the evening welcomed the musical work "La Traviata" by Verdi. In this way, the most impressive arias of 12 operas were performed in around 90 minutes that also shared the performance of Celia Gómez in the interpretation of "Casta diva", the heartbreaking intervention by Cesia Olivares, with one of the most brilliant arias of "Suor Angelica” by Puccini, where the protagonist lets us see the pain of a mother when she finds out that her son has died and, the frustration of a spirit that seeks of faithful love in Senta´s Ballade from Wagner’s "El Holandés errante", performed by Gabriela Vadillo.

Undoubtedly, one of the most brilliant moments was the powerful performance of baritone José Adán Pérez who shook the audience with his interpretation of Cartigiani´s work "Rigoletto" by Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi.

After touring different times in the voices of the Choir and soloists such as Cesia Olivares, Juan Fernando Martinez, José Eliodoro Lara, Manuel Salas and Joaquín Sillero, the Gala XXV Coro Ángela Peralta culminated with the applause of the public and the screening of a video tribute of its career.

The evening could not have ended better: a public devoted to the artists after a shocking closing with O Fortuna and other arias from "Carmina Burana" by the German composer Carl Orff that provoked a carousel of emotions in the audience.

RECOGNITION

At the end of the concert, the Director General of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan, Raúl Rico González, took the stage to give recognition to the Ángela Peralta Choir and its director for the 25 years of a brilliant artistic career.

He highlighted the presence in the room of important personalities in the history of this musical institution such as Jane Abreu, Ricardo Jorge Urquijo Beltran, Eduardo Mata and Enrique Patrón De Rueda.

Then the Artistic Director of Cultura, Abril Márquez, gave the recognition to the Choir; which was received by Mary Murillo; The distinction recognizes the work developed by the Ángela Peralta Choir to magnify Mazatlan stages and trigger the resurgence of the artistic life of Mazatlan in the 21st century.

"Our love and gratitude for his work that will captivate many generations," he said.

In his speech, maestro González thanked God, the municipality of Mazatlán and its institutions, colleagues, teachers and students who have magnified the work of the choir, inside and outside the port; as well as the collaboration of pianist Sergio Castellanos and Coro Enkelit de Tepic, directed by Miguel Franco.

On the verge of tears, Maestro González said goodbye, thanking the trust and support provided by Diana Jiménez in the first years of the choir and when he went to Jane Abreu, he said, "We need to do a little more, but we will achieve it".
