La muestra con imágenes de 35 personalidades del mundo de la ciencia, el deporte y la cultura; el carnaval, la vida empresarial, la religión, el deporte, militares, revolucionarios y benefactores, fue inaugurada este domingo por los actuales soberanos del Carnaval Internacional de Mazatlán y los candidatos a los distintos tronos de la máxima fiesta.
A nombre del Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán, Enrique Vega Ayala agradeció al público y representantes carnavaleros por realzar con su presencia la importancia de la exposición que recupera imágenes de personajes vinculados a la historia local, nacional e incluso de algunos a quienes se les reconoce por sus aportaciones de valor universal.
Destacó que la presente edición del Carnaval de Mazatlán sirve de escaparate para rendir tributo al talento mazatleco personificado por tantos hombres y mujeres que han ofrecido lo mejor de sí y cuyo nombre enaltece el orgullo mazatleco.
En la exposición se pueden observar imágenes de Winnie Farmer, Leopoldo Reyes, Miguel García Franco, Miguel Lacarra, Héctor González, Francisco Peregrina, Juan Ocón, Rodolfo Loaiza, Antonio Haas, Rigo Lewis, Héctor Díaz, Margarita Ramírez y Lucila Medrano, entre otros personajes.

A su vez, el gerente de La Gran Plaza, Israel Sandoval agradeció a CULTURA y a su director general Raúl Rico por montar nuevamente la exposición de carnaval en este centro comercial y destacó la importancia de la muestra que rescata el legado de los hombres y mujeres que han dejado huella en la sociedad mazatleca por sus grandiosos aportes en las distintas ramas del quehacer humano.
Cortaron el listón inaugural los soberanos del Carnaval Mazatlán 2017: Viviana I, Reina de la máxima fiesta; Rosina, Reina de los Juegos Florales; Jorge Luna y Jesús Ochoa, Rey y Marqués de la Alegría; Ivanna, Aylín y Vicky, Reina Infantil, Reina de la Poesía y Princesa.
Los acompañaron las candidatas a Reina del Carnaval: Daniela López, Alexa Méndez, Sofía Briseño, Mayrim Morales, Elsie Muzquiz, Alejandra Tirado, Jéssica López, Ana Paola Beltrán, Estefanía Nordahl, Brisia Tirado y Gabriela Cristerna.
No podían faltar las niñas aspirantes a la corona infantil: Shuleyka Millán, Gretel Ochoa y Camila Alatorre acompañadas por los aspirantes al reinado de la Alegría: César Tulio Martínez, Fabián Ernesto Maldonado y Radamés Pérez.

Tribute to talented characters at the Carnaval expo in Gran Plaza
To pay homage to the men and women who have given a luster to Mazatlan’s identity and have become a pride for the Mazatlan people, the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán and the Gran Plaza are displaying a photographic exhibition on the Wall of Expression of this commercial center.
The exhibition with images of 35 personalities from the world of science, sports and culture; Carnaval, business life, religion, sports, military, revolutionaries and benefactors, was inaugurated this Sunday by the current sovereigns of the Carnaval Internacional Mazatlan and the candidates for the different thrones of the maximum fiesta.
On behalf of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan, Enrique Vega Ayala thanked the public and Carnaval representatives for highlighting with their presence, the importance of the exhibition that recovers images of characters linked to local, national and even some who are recognized by history, honoring them for their contributions of universal value.
He stressed that the present edition of the Carnaval Mazatlan serves as a showcase to pay tribute to the Mazatlan talent personified by so many men and women who have offered the best of themselves and whose names praise Mazatlecan pride.

The sovereigns of Carnaval Mazatlan 2017 cut the ribbon: Viviana I, Queen of the maximum fiesta; Rosina, Queen of the Floral Games; Jorge Luna and Jesús Ochoa, King and Marqués of Joy; Ivanna, Aylín and Vicky, Infant Queen and Queen of Poetry, and Princess.
They were accompanied by the candidates for Queen of Carnaval: Daniela Lopez, Alexa Méndez, Sofia Briseño, Mayrim Morales, Elsie Muzquiz, Alejandra Tirado, Jéssica López, Ana Paola Beltrán, Estefanía Nordahl, Brisia Tirado and Gabriela Cristerna.
