A finales del siglo 17 y principios del 18 la música barroca fue el estilo musical que predominó en toda Europa. Bajo esta escuela se crearon nuevas técnicas para expresar otra gama de ideas y sentimientos; una estética dramática, teatral y esplendor en los espectáculos públicos tal y como se pudo apreciar en este concierto.

El programa de esta velada estuvo conformado por piezas minuciosamente seleccionadas por los maestro Percival Álvarez y Manuel Ramos para ofrecer lo mejor de este gran estilo musical.

Con una ola de aplausos el público recibió a los músicos y al director invitado, Manuel Ramos dando así inicio al recital con el Concierto de Brandeburgo No. 2 en Fa Mayor de Johann Sebastian Bach. Dentro de esta primera pieza lucieron sus habilidades y talentos los solistas María Vakórina en la flauta; Nina Farvarschu en el violín, Vilma Domínguez en el oboe y Mauro Delgado en la trompeta.

Al terminar la primera pieza hubo una breve pausa para colocar el piano al frente del escenario y dar la bienvenida al pianista invitado César Arturo Penin que interpretó el Concierto para Piano y Orquesta No. 2 en Fa Mayor de Dmitri Schostakóvich.

Las luces se enfocaron sobre el piano para intensificar la participación de Penin en el “Allegro” y éste maravilló a los presentes por su virtuosismo, ya que a sus 15 años no necesitó la ayuda de las partituras para su interpretación que terminó por arrancarle una ovación de pie de TAP. Los aplausos y vítores del público motivaron al artista a volver al escenario  para regalar  Nocturna Op 9 1 de Chopin.

Después del intermedio el concierto continúo con Arias y Danzas Antiguas de Ottorino Respighi, una hermosa pieza creada a finales del siglo 19 bajo la fuerte influencia del periodo barroco.

Para finalizar esta magnífica velada el director Manuel Ramos pasó la batuta al maestro Percival Álvarez y con una sonrisa tomó el violín para unirse como solista a la Camerata Mazatlán en la pieza Concierto para Violín y Orquesta No. 5 en La Mayor, de Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Con su cuarto concierto dentro de la Temporada Primavera 2017, la Camerata Mazatlán se despidió de forma insuperable de su público a la espera de que sus integrantes vuelvan a sorprender con su creatividad, talento y el deseo de innovar cada programa con la participación de músicos invitados provenientes de otras ciudades de la República Mexicana.

Sublime concert with the Camerata Mazatlan

The stage lights brightened and darkness came to the audience to start a splendid concert: "Influences of Baroque" performed by the Camerata Mazatlan Thursday night at the Angela Peralta Theater as part of Spring Season 2017 of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan.

At the end of 17th century and beginning of the 18^th, Baroque music was the musical style that predominated in Europe. Under this school, new techniques were created to express a range of ideas and feelings, a dramatic, theatrical aesthetics and splendor in public entertainment as was seen in this concert.

This evening program was composed of parts that are carefully selected by maestro Percival Álvarez and Manuel Ramos to offer the best of this great musical style.

With a wave of applause, the public received the musicians and Guest Director, Manuel Ramos, starting the recital/concert with Brandenburg No. 2 in F Major by Johann Sebastian Bach. Within this first piece the abilities and talents of the soloists, María Vakórina on flute; and Nina Farvarschu on violin, Vilma Domínguez on the oboe and Mauro Delgado on trumpet, shone.

At the end of the first piece, there was a brief pause to put the piano on stage and to welcome guest pianist Cesar Arturo Penin, who played the concert for Piano and Orchestra No. 2 in F Major by Dmitri Schostakovich.

Lights focused on the piano to intensify the participation of Penin on the "Allegro" and this amazed everyone by his virtuosity, since at only 15 years old, he did not need the help of the music for its interpretation, eventually bringing the audience of TAP to a standing ovation. The applause and cheers from the audience motivated the artist to return to the stage to play Nocturna Op 9 1 by Chopin.

After the intermission, the concert continued with Arias and ancient dances of Ottorino Respighi, a beautiful piece created at the end of the 19th century under the strong influence of the Baroque period.

To complete this magnificent evening, director Manuel Ramos passed the baton to maestro Percival Álvarez and with a smile he took his violin and joined the Camerata Mazatlan as a soloist in the concert piece for Violin and Orchestra No. 5 in A major, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

With their fourth concert in Spring Season 2017, the Camerata Mazatlan said goodbye to its audience, who will wait for its members return to surprise them with their creativity, talent and the desire to innovate each program with the participation of invited musicians from other cities of the Mexican Republic.
